I have to admit, I was a little nervous. 每次我们有群呼，我都担心大家互相说话, forgetting to mute themselves, or worse… no one talking at all. 但一旦这些面孔出现在屏幕上，这种联系就变得令人愉快了. 教师和学生轮流宣布，笑脸和友好的玩笑被尊重的关注所取代, asking questions, and creating community. I was more than relieved. I was proud and happy to be back among my 学生.

Our teachers are doing a stellar job, putting together lessons for 学生 who are, 在很多情况下, around the globe. 但在这个大流行和保持社会距离的时期，社区呢? How do we ensure that the connections stay strong?

That tradition continues in this virtual world. I realize I might look a little silly, but every morning at 8 finds me in the circle, with my iPad and cup of coffee, 赶上任何“顺便来”和汤姆一起快速“Zoom”的学生，开始新的一天.
